Daily Rituals to 6 Figures

Are you still trading your time for money? If you follow the likes of Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, you will know that they profess to having a passive income to become wealthy and get your freedom back. Is it time you looked outside the box on how to live and work so you can stop trading time for money?

Looking for more freedom in your business and life? Here’s how I found mine.

Just a few years ago you would have found me living my dream – I had a highly successful magazine, a glamorous office, an office of beautiful staff, a high profile and a chandelier in the office window.

However, what I forgot to include in my dream wish list was happiness. Oh, and time. And freedom.

In fact, even though to the world it looked for all intents and purposes that I was super successful and ‘had it all’, I was stressed, suffering from daily anxiety, working seven days a week, unfit and struggling in the having a family department.

I look back now and see that I was trying to live someone else’s version of success – my ego’s version.

Fast forward five years and two babies later, I run two online businesses, work a few hours a day and get to spend loads of time with my husband and children.

Gone is the stress, the anxiety and the fear.

Through many ups and downs, I have finally found my version of success; happiness, time and income that flows into my account – even if I am sleeping.

I do however still run my global coaching practice where, yes, I do offer my time in trade for money – but this is because I LOVE to coach people to their own version of success. I am in client service mode one day of the week and I love nothing more than to coach them through their own up levelling in both income, time and mindset.

So what did I do to go from stressed out, over worked business owner to yoga-lovin’ freedom entrepreneur?

Well, straight up, it didn’t happen over night.

In fact there were a few bumps along the road, namely because that little voice on my shoulder kept whispering that I couldn’t do it, that I wasn’t deserving of having a passive or residual income.

Once I learned to tame that voice, my life changed forever.

Here’s a few of the tools I used to move myself away from trading my time for money;

  1. Tonnes and tonnes of daily mindset work.

You name it, I have done it – from past life regression, NLP, Akashic Record readings to Reiki to EFT, I have tried and used many different modalities to shift past limiting beliefs and replace them with new empowering ones.MANTRA TO USE: “I am worthy of making more than enough money.”
  2. Up-skilling in digital marketing.

This one I resisted for some time. Landing pages, sales funnels, Facebook advertising …blah! But once I realised that the future IS digital, I got myself digitally savvy and up-skilled myself to become great at this skill. It transformed my business and allowed me to have global reach – even while I sleep.

“I learn a new skill each day that takes me closer to my freedom.”

  3. Blocking out external ‘noise’ and negative influences. One of the fastest ways to pull you back from trading your precious time for money is external ‘noise’ – news updates, social media, family and friends who try to ‘keep you safe’ from changing and taking ‘risks’.
This external noise comes in many forms and usually from those that are closest to us who may judge us for doing things differently.
    My suggestion? Do things differently.
Take a look at the people closest to you – these are your immediate influencers. If they are still trading time for money, then perhaps it is time to listen to new influencers.

“I don’t need external approval. I play by my own rules.”

  4. I got really, really focused on what truly makes me happy. This was probably the hardest part of my journey to date. Sounds crazy, right?

But let me ask you – do you know what your heart truly wants?
For me, I had to move through many, many layers of conditioning, beliefs, societal conditioning of what success was to find what truly made me happy.

For me that is creating beautiful experiences with my family. Of having daily peace. Seeing the joy in everything – good, bad, positive, negative.
It is travelling, it is having choice.

Happiness, for me, is – and sorry to sound cliche – but the little things in life. Watching my kids sleep. Waking up to them jumping on the bed. Sitting on the deck watching the sun set with my husband by my side. Seeing the birds nest in the tree outside our window. Seeing others live a life on their terms.

MANTRA:”I have all I need within me right now.”

  5. Setting up various forms of income.I grew up in a traditional Australian family – the parents go to work, they get paid by the hour and occasional someone tells you that you can go on a holiday.

You do that all your working life, saving as much money as you can so that you can retire. If you don’t have enough money to retire, then the government will provide (a meagre income mind you).

Want to stop trading time for money and create wealth? Then STOP thinking this way.

I have, at any one time, two or more businesses. My husband and I also have investments in a variety of areas – property, commodities and digital business (and are now looking at crypto currency investing).

We are learning every day how important it is to invest and up skill in this area to create passive and residual wealth. We are no experts at all, but are determined to set ourselves – and our children – financially.

“I use my money wisely and educate myself on how to invest for growth.”

2018 is a Universal year 2 – meaning it is the year to REALLY plan for what you truly desire.

If you are feeling an urge to move away from trading time for money, to live a live of freedom, creativity, travel and family, then I encourage you to do something different. Be someone different.

Because once you do, there is never any going back.

Here’s to your freedom,
